Recently on the Jersey Shore, I tried Troegs Dreamweaver and their Pale Ale from their summer brews pack. One of these beers did not knock me off my seat, but the other one did. Watch to see which one and let me know what you think of Troegs in the comments. It’s amazing how different these two beers are. One is simple and elegant and I was not impressed by the simplicity. The other brought a little more sophistication to the table.

4:36 chadnorthrup: ok, I’ll respect that. Can’t relate, but I’ll respect it
4:37 chadnorthrup: I want to virtually try them.
4:38 gregdelima: Does it taste as fruity as the smell?
4:40 jasmine_starr: I GOTTA QUESTION
4:40 cphadley: Well blow me down
4:40 cphadley: there you two are
4:40 gregdelima: I’d have to say the leftover taste on the tongue can be more important… ya know, the residue
4:40 chadnorthrup: the gnome!
4:40 Peplau: He really gets around
4:41 chadnorthrup: yep, I can hear
4:41 gregdelima: Yeah they’re good!
4:41 gregdelima: Guava or Pineapple more?
4:42 belchingmonkey: @qthrul
4:42 Peplau: Belching Monkey is rated ‘R’ for potential strong language and plastic gnomes.
4:43 belchingmonkey: @redsoxgnome
4:43 chadnorthrup: Jim!
4:43 chadnorthrup: what an all-star cast today
4:45 cphadley: Why am I not on the show
4:45 chadnorthrup: wait- what was the first beer called?
4:45 chadnorthrup: think I missed it
4:45 chadnorthrup: ahhh, gotcha
4:46 gregdelima:

4:46 gregdelima:

4:47 Peplau: sure
4:47 Peplau: try it now, greg
4:47 gregdelima: http://twitter.com/512brewing
4:47 gregdelima: http://512brewing.com
4:47 chadnorthrup: a passive IPA? Not sure I’d like that
4:48 cphadley: I’m with ya Chad. Need more punch than that in an IPA if I’m going to decide I want an IPA
4:48 chadnorthrup: agreed. I’d rather go for a different style if it’s going to be a weak IPA
4:49 MattUD: i also agree with that statement
4:49 Peplau: Belching Monkey is rated ‘R’ for unpleasant olfactory images.
4:49 gregdelima: Yeah cause Sierra Nevada is a garbage IPA…
4:50 gregdelima: yeah but too much malt in a “hoppy” IPA just sounds like an off kilter IPA
4:50 chadnorthrup: Is Sierra officially IPA though? I think it’s just pale, not India pale
4:51 chadnorthrup: yep, gotcha Jim
4:51 Peplau: Thanks, men.
4:52 gregdelima: @chad, just went to Sierra, they do not actually offer an INDIA PA, just a Pale Ale.
4:52 chadnorthrup: yep, thanks Greg. That’s what I was thinking
4:52 chadnorthrup: tried their Glissade last night btw. Not bad, very drinkable but not all that remarkable
4:53 gregdelima: Cannot say I’ve tried it, in Spain so my most recent beer explore was Belgian – Leffe Blonde
4:53 chadnorthrup: me too Mike- imperial ipa’s FTW
4:54 chadnorthrup: nice, haven’t had that one but I do like the Belgians
4:54 gregdelima: Which beer is this? Not the shin-guard beer right?
4:55 gregdelima: How many #NCRulesSXSW we have over there today?
5:01 MattUD: time to head out, later all
5:01 chadnorthrup: Columbus hops? Wow, can’t say I’ve tried that
5:01 chadnorthrup: later Matt
5:01 gregdelima: Read from here: http://www.liveoakbrewing.com/beer/
5:01 Peplau: So, it’s like the Stockholm Syndrome of beers, then?
5:02 chadnorthrup: now that’s an analogy!
5:02 gregdelima: 6.0% AVB
5:02 gregdelima: ABV*
5:04 gregdelima: Sorry Gents & Lady, must be off – hit me up later @gregdelima on twitter
5:05 Peplau: Is it too much trouble to turn the camera around and give us a shot of the bar & audience?
5:05 belchingmonkey: oh
5:05 Peplau: woops
5:05 Peplau: guess so
5:05 Peplau: I’ll check out the website
5:05 belchingmonkey: hold on
5:05 belchingmonkey: we back on?
5:05 chadnorthrup: yep, wayy too much trouble D
5:05 chadnorthrup: nope
5:05 belchingmonkey: refresh
5:05 belchingmonkey: refresh
5:05 chadnorthrup: yep!
5:05 Peplau: Don’t need to refresh, it came back on its own
5:06 Peplau: Wow
5:06 chadnorthrup: that place IS heaven!
5:06 Peplau: They’d never allow a place like that in Boston. Too much fun. #MassIsAFunSponge
5:06 chadnorthrup: sweet. thx guys
5:06 chadnorthrup: hahaha
5:07 cphadley: show again!
5:07 chadnorthrup: so true
5:08 belchingmonkey: i effed it up
5:08 belchingmonkey: sorry
5:08 chadnorthrup: no prob
5:09 cphadley: no worries. I’m heading home anyways
5:09 cphadley: good to see ya again
5:10 chadnorthrup: gotta run as well. Good show, have a safe trip home!
